As an individual investor, I strongly SUPPORT the ratification of SR-NSCC-2021-801. It is my understanding and belief that this rule will strengthen the accountability and transparency of large institutions who over leverage the market in pursuit of profit. With the speed of trading and information processing there is no reason to defer the transparency any further than daily. As we have seen countless times these institutions are able to cover and obfuscate their positions where the relevancy of the information loses its impact and protections afforded by the oversight of the SEC as the required reporting and willful display of positions is 30 days.
By implementing this ratification the oversight that can be provided by the DTCC and/or components of the NSCC will significantly level and protect the free market from manipulation and provide market members the best long term viability of the system.
