I am an individual retail investor and would like the opportunity to express my opinion on the proposed ruling SR-NSCC-2021-801. I have been following this whole saga of blatant illegal activities involving market manipulation media manipulation to continually defraud the American public and worldwide investors. I believe that the rule is a step in the right direction but the laws must be adhered to with absolute strict penalties for all involved in short selling stocks to steal the livelihood of American workers. It is unacceptable that this has been allowed to roll on for as long as it has, people and corporations even government employees if found guilty must be made an example of for the world to see and to begin to get the word to trust the markets again.
