Hello, My name is Benjamin and I am a retail investor and self-employed educator. I would like to express my support for the proposed rule SR-NSCC-2021-801. If enacted, this rule would be a small step toward much-needed accountability for those who practice short-selling. The current rules need to be updated, and the SLD change from monthly to daily is a tiny bit of progress. It is my contention that this rule should be passed and implemented. Further, I would suggest that stronger penalties should be enacted for noncompliance and the violation of this rule, as the current penalties are rather toothless. I appreciate your time.
