This rule needs to pass or the retail investor will leave the market. They are tired of this made up product, the naked-short—how is it that MMs & HFs can utilize an instrument to negatively affect a decent company while retailers sit back a watch their bank, pension and 401k accounts drain? With more and more retailers entering the market in the last year, not passing this rule, I believe, will quickly see them exit and take their hard earned monies with them.
