I am an individual retail investor and would like to express my support for SR-NSCC-2021-801. I believe that this rule will be necessary in holding persons accountable when engaging in short selling and stock borrowing. I would like to see this rule enacted as quickly as possible. The proposed companion amendment to DTC-003 is an absolutely crucial one. It holds person(s) accountable for their actions in this volatile economic climate and will immeasurably help public trust and sentiment towards the SEC and US stock market.
