Dear SEC, I'm an foreign individual retail investor and would like to express my opinion regarding this new proposed rule SR-NSCC-2021-801. I think this rule - if enacted - is a step in the right direction towards accountability for those who engage in the short selling / stock borrowing program. It's time for an update to the currently existing requirements and I think that the change from a Monthly to a Daily settlement is an advancement. I would like to see this rule passed and implemented without further delay. Last but not least, I would like to see a stronger enforcement of this rule together with heavier penalties if non-compliance / violation occurs.
