Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, I am a Federal Employee, a Veteran, and a proud American. The SEC has turned its heads too long to items that obviously need attention. It seems to be that the regular investor no longer has a say in what companies to support. How is it that a company can have massive amounts of investors, but a Brokerage can use computers to swap shares that DON’T EVEN exist from one hand to the other and drive a stock into the ground? Why do we watch good companies die due to shorting? What game is being played at the cost of investors? Most importantly how will that game result when the winning team becomes the losing team? It seems to be a manipulated market. When investing, we invest in companies we want to succeed. Why, and how is this foundation of values being skewed? It seems that the influence being pushed into the public’s eyes does not match up with a moral ground and this rule will even the playing field just slightly. As the SEC, your website says the following : “ For more than 85 years since our founding at the height of the Great Depression, we have stayed true to our mission of protecting investors, maintaining fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitating capital formation“ -https://www.sec.gov/about/what-we-do If this is passed, you are doing your jobs ethically and morally. Thank you for your time reading this and I hope you all have a bright future!
