There is what looks like incorrect text on page 14 of the SR-NSCC-2021-005 document.
Specifically, it looks like the second mention of the $250,000 in the following sentence is incorrect and should have in fact said $10,000. Please verify whether this is the case and apply any corrections if required.
Second, the proposed changes are designed to address risk. Backtesting results indicate that deficiencies that occurred for Members with a Required Fund Deposit lower than $250,000 accounted for 22% of the total backtesting deficiencies, while Members that maintained a Required Fund Deposit lower than $250,000 constituted approximately 45% of the Members that fell below the 99% confidence target during the Impact Study Period.
