To the Commission:
The rules enforcing diversity are an affront to the US Constitution and American values. They show a fear of freedom and a desire to remake society in a politically correct image. Who gets to decide what \"diversity\" means? I notice there are no categories for political or religious diversity. This is simply a means to discriminate against disfavored groups.
I know there is an option to explain why certain quotas are not met. But anyone even slightly informed about what is going on in society today knows that making such an explanation would be used to justify public shaming of a company and \"cancellation\" from public discourse, public office, and even the ability to advertise the business. This is a recipe for exacerbating the divisions in our nation and inciting hate speech and violence against the politically disfavored.
It is not the SEC's not the NASDAQ'd job or authority to remake society. You both are supposed to be providing a fair and open market for people to trade securities. Let people decide how they want to make those trading decisions. That is freedom.
