I would like to strongly voice my opinion regarding the sale of market data by the stock exchanges. Market data is not a good to be sold, it is a necessary element to maintain transparency in the marketplace. The long term effects of hiding data or only making it available for purchase will be to discourage participation by the general public. This is a bad idea that must not be allowed.
Free and open markets should be free and open, lest more abuse and manipulation take place. Please do what you can to assure an open and timely access to all market data by the general public. Thank you.
