in my view, this circuit breaker does not serve the public well and provides brokers/marketmakers/high frequency traders with the ability to limit their losses. the financial entities do not deserve to be guaranteed a limit to their losses as a result of their folly.
sellers do deserve a profit on their capital and cancelling sales deprives them of their profit. with this rule, you are depriving sellers of their profit.
what is wrong with the supply and demand curve of a stock fixing the price?
i disagree with this rule entirely.
