I strongly urge the Commission, in connection with any approval of this proposed rule, to require FINRA to eliminate entirely the 2-year purge provision.
FINRA advertises BrokerCheck as a consumer protection instrument. The 2-year purge provision seriously undermines this purpose and has no benefit to the public.
