Re: SR-FINRA-2009-050
Dear Ms. Murphy:
I am pleased to provide a comment on FINRA's proposal to amend FlNRA Rule 8312 concerning the BrokerCheck disclosure system. I oppose the rule change. I cannot think of a single rational argument which supports hiding vital information from the investing public after merely two years. At the very least, the information concerning ex-brokers should be available to investors for six years after the broker leaves the industry – that would be consistent with the FlNRA six-year eligibility rule for the filing of investor claims.
I further strongly support the discussion submitted by PIABA.
Thank you,
Jan Graham
