I have been in the insurance and financial services field for 17 years. I STRONGLY OPPOSE the recommended changes to the U4 and U5 regarding arbitration and civil litigation.
I do not believe arbitration and civil litigation should be required to disclose, particularly if it has nothing to do with insurance and/or financial services. Even then, I believe an individual is innocent until proven guilty. With today's litigious society, an individual can be sued where the action is completely unfounded.
Please do NOT pass this legislation.
