Bitcoin ETFs are essential to the crypto-market, especially for those who are newcomers to the crypto-space. It will provide a more basic investment platform for novice investors, moreover, deliver lower fees during transactions. However, this approval can handicap some things that are found to be crucial throughout the crypto-community. For example, the use of private keys. One must be mindful that bitcoin was created as a channel for pure peer-to-peer transactions with no "middle-man". Although the ETF may have more beneficial factors towards the pricing of bitcoin, it will jeopardize the essence of it's initial purpose - P2P, non-binding transactions. Furthermore, there is immense upside to the approval of a bitcoin ETF an approval would open the flood gates for various markets to set up or file for their own ETF. For instance, through the use of a security token, people would be able to invest in real estate, art work, etc. and have the freedom to buy and sell as they please - hence liquidity. As an investor, blockchain researcher/manager, this approval will cause more good than bad. Allowing for separation of responsibility: trading, custody, evaluation, etc., as well as, facilitating the process of asset management.
