My name is Jon Runyan and Im a Network Security Engineer and certified Firewall Instructor. Im a fan of Bitcoin from a technology and ideological perspective. I believe the US will be well served to lead in Bitcoin adoption and therefore I advocate the approval of a cryptocurrency exchange traded product.
Today Bitcoin is a new technology and is daunting for new comers to safely manage their private keys properly. Approving an ETF will allow pension funds, retirement accounts and retail investors safe exposure to this new and popular asset class. I know from personal experience that many people want exposure to Bitcoin but are looking for traditional ways of investing. I believe approving an ETF will move Bitcoin forward to even greater adoption and maturity of the entire Bitcoin eco-system.
