Hello,
My name is Morgan Roberts, I'm a 33 year old filmmaker living in New Orleans, LA. I'm writing because I believe Bitcoin other cryptocurrencies will be the future S.O.P. for transferring funds around the world, and if the we don't participate in the evolution of currency, we will be at a disadvantage.
With Bitcoin, I am already able to send hundreds of thousands of dollars, across the world and back, in minutes (seconds using other cryptocurrencies, e.g., XLM or XRB). These transactions would take more a week for my bank to process.
In the spirit of Devil's Advocate, I'll mention that cryptocurrency isn't perfect. I had over 20k USD of my personal funds stolen when an online exchange was hacked (Italy based, Bitgrail.com), but this was avoidable and only happened because I allowed it through carelessness. Now that I have a stronger grasp of the technology, digital wallets and file backups, I am certain my funds are safe. At least, as safe as any other form of wealth I possess.
