It is time. The sooner clear regulation and management occurs, the least people will get hurt, and the sooner adoption and innovation will be able to flourish. The sooner this difficult period for Bitcoin (i.e.: the road to adoption, where "infrastructure that is new is forced upon infrastructure that is old") is over, the better. A well-regulated ETF will attract (in my opinion) enough people and institutions to turn Bitcoin from something weird, geeky and dangerous (as so many inventions before it), to a normal thing. A canonical (but definitely not exclusive) means of payment and store of value.
