To whom it may concern:
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity of having a voice in The Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF matter.
Bitcoin is one of the greatest inventions of this century. For the first time, we are able to store wealth in the safest possible way thanks to the power of cryptography. There are exactly 2^256 possible Bitcoin private keys, a number so large that would take an unfathomably amount of time for an attacker to even find one single correct match. There are around 10^49 atoms that make up the Earth, if each of those were to be a computer able to crack 10 Billion hashes per second, it would take around [(2^255 / 10^59) / (3600 * 24 * 365)] = 18.3 billion years to search only half of the possibilities (the universe is estimated to be 13.82 billion years).
All the attacks that have happened in the past (Bitfinex and Mt Gox) were due to poor management and negligence from those companies, the Bitcoin network itself wasn't compromised. Besides, most of the money that people use today exists only in computers, so in a way, our current monetary system provides very little security for its users.
With the approval of a Bitcoin ETF, more people will get to know about this amazing technology and software developers of the world will have a bigger incentive to keep improving the network. As the saying says:
Rome wasn't built in a day. If we all do our part, we can little by little keep changing the world for the better.
To summarize, I completely support the The Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF.
