Dear SEC Commissioners,
Please do not give in to industry pressures on Section 1504 of the Dodd-Frank Act (the Cardin-Lugar Amendment) - and make sure that ALL companies are covered, every country and every project gets reported, and loopholes that would allow large sums of money to go unreported are closed.
My Comment:
Our current economy and the suffering of a majority of the world's population is a direct result of decades of this type of legislation and greed. Let us not undo the small changes that we made and think about how our actions and compassion can affect tomorrow for not only ourselves but our children and grandchildren. It is never too late to "be human" again and reconnect with each other - for we are all the community that has brought each other so much in the way of knowledge, technology, comfort, etc. Let us continue to step forward instead of backwards as we have chosen to do too often in the past. We can be the heroes of future generations, and we trust you to lead us there. Full disclosure. Let the people decide armed with facts, with knowledge... and let us get back to democracy. I said that "we" can be the heroes. YOU can be the hero which inspires millions of us to become heroes. Thank you.
