Dear SEC Commissioners,
Please do not give in to industry pressures on Section 1504 of the Dodd-Frank Act (the Cardin-Lugar Amendment) - and make sure that ALL companies are covered, every country and every project gets reported, and loopholes that would allow large sums of money to go unreported are closed.
My Comment:
We cannot create a stable world without ensuring fair distribution of wealth from natural "resources". And we cannot ensure fair distribution without honest and full disclosure. Let us stop hiding the wealth that is available to powerful elements in government, or those in power will be unable to resist the temptation to hoard it all, uselessly, for themselves. Every single person who suffers or dies in political unrest pays the ultimate price for such senseless greed.
