Dear SEC Commissioners,

Please do not give in to industry pressures on Section 1504 of the Dodd-Frank Act (the Cardin-Lugar Amendment) - and make sure that ALL companies are covered, every country and every project gets reported, and loopholes that would allow large sums of money to go unreported are closed.

My Comment:

Especially when we are talking about natural resources, which arguably belong to nobody, secrecy in the trafficking of such resources is seriously nefarious and by definition must be aligned with harm in some way -- or there would be no need for secrecy. Condoning such secrecy -- especially when US intelligence knows the probable outcomes -- engages the US in the nefarious activity. Please uphold what i would like to think are US values and preserve the laws that merely inform the people who suffer as a result of these secrets.
