Dear SEC Commissioners,

Please do not give in to industry pressures on Section 1504 of the Dodd-Frank Act (the Cardin-Lugar Amendment) - and make sure that ALL companies are covered, every country and every project gets reported, and loopholes that would allow large sums of money to go unreported are closed.

My Comment:

America is not a Corporatocracy.....or is it? Giant corporations impact us daily in myriad ways -- our economy, our deficit, our employment rate, our environment, product safety, other consumer issues. We have no vote on their policies --- unless we are super large shareholders. Corporations above a certain size and having wide and deep impact must report what they pay, as well as what they earn, what they pay in taxes and so forth. Giant oil companies are supported with tax payer funded subsidies and tax breaks. We -- who subsidize them-- have a right to knoiw the pay range at least, if not the exact amount, paid high level execs, consultants and, attorneys for the firm etc. On Section 1504, it is imperative that corporations follow the letter of the law, not bending these to the pressure of any industry. No exceptionis, no loopholes. Corporate transparency regarding the RULES of Section 1504 is also imperative. Americans hope that INTERNATIONALLY, corporations will become more transparent following the example set by America's large oil corporations, that citizens of the world will apply pressure in other countries.
