Subject: File No. S7-42-10 - Comment from Eric Brown

Dear SEC Commissioners,

Please do not give in to industry pressures on Section 1504 of the Dodd-Frank Act (the Cardin-Lugar Amendment) - and make sure that ALL companies are covered, every country and every project gets reported, and loopholes that would allow large sums of money to go unreported are closed.

My Comment:

This happens way too much in this country. Oil needs to be provided for everyone to get around anymore. And who is it that gets the stick where the sun doesn't shine? The people. The oil corporations need to take some extremely big pay cuts and spread that money down to the rest of the population. I mean, there are way too many people living in poverty all over the world. And why is that? It's because the people who control the wealth don't want anyone else to be able to compete with them. There has to be HEALTHY competition for our world to work. These politicians need to try to make a "normal" living like the rest of the world's population does every day. When I say "normal" I mean to have them try to make a living on what the average person makes in a week and try to see how they would do living like the rest of us. They wouldn't be able to do it because they are used to their extravagant meals, cars, houses and everything else they have that the common person doesn't have to begin with. Most of the common people think that going to Applebee's is an extravagant night out and some people don't even have the money to afford to eat out or even get the basic necessities to survive. Politicians need to take a second look at the poverty levels in their country and try to do right by them instead of trying to do right by the oil companies and other big companies.
