Dear SEC Commissioners,
Please do not give in to industry pressures on Section 1504 of the Dodd-Frank Act (the Cardin-Lugar Amendment) - and make sure that ALL companies are covered, every country and every project gets reported, and loopholes that would allow large sums of money to go unreported are closed.
My Comment:
It's important for us as a nation to proceed in all our affairs with transparency and fairness. There is no room for back-room secret deals that perpetuate or even increase the iniquities within societies. That is exactly the formula for creating even greater levels of poverty and desperation. We need to be effective and a larger part of the solution.
