We, the students and administration of Temple University , are writing to notify you of the progress that we have made in combating the use of conflict minerals from eastern Congo in our electronics products. On Temple University we issued a statement in support of efforts by electronics companies to clean up their supply chains. We urge the SEC to issue strong rules and regulations in line with the statutory language of Section 1502 in the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act. The SEC should not exempt gold from the regulations, which continues to fund war in Congo. Additionally, we ask that there be no prolonged delay of these rules. We represent a strong constituency of students and universities that want to see these rules and regulations released in a timely and effective manner.
