Dear Sir or Madam,
Subject: Public comment on interpretations of Investment Company Act applied to mREITs
I am I salaried professional who does not enjoy the benefits of a pension plan. Although I contribute to my 401K, I do not believe that or any social security benefits will be sufficient for my future needs. As such, I have been actively investing in dividend stocks. I have found mortgage Real Estate Investment Trusts to be an attractive alternative and began investing in them.
I believe that allowing mREITs to continue their business in their current form benefits both myself and US tax payers, as well as providing liquidly to help finance home mortgages. I urge to you please do not change the rules regarding MBS and mREITs at this time.
Thank you for your attention,
Wayne Sonnen
