Many retirees, like myself, have had their retirement savings decimated by the recent declines in the overall stock market.
In seeking some sort of decent returns on what money we have left in our portfolios, many seniors have turned to the REIT market for what we thought was a fairly safe investment for the future.
Now it seems that the SEC is wanting to change the rules in the middle of the game, once again putting the struggling retirees incomes on the decline, it seems like everyone and everything (high speed computer trading, hedge funds, etc.) is working hard to devastate the little guy to have enough income to make ends meet.
I urge the SEC not to make any changes to the REIT industry that would effect the small investor.
Thank you,
