I am writing to share my opinions as a household investor
about transparency and what this proposal means to the markets from my
understanding. It is my observation that since the evolution of the
financial markets from once being on paper to basically everything
being done through the internet there has been a loss of oversight for
the financial well-being of the general public. I’ve also witnessed
numerous instances in which large corporations and institutions have
blatantly stolen from the public utilizing this new financial model
without consequences to outweigh the profits gained through illicit
activities. It is imperative that the financial system become
transparent at all costs in order to maintain trust in the public’s
eye. I see many comments saying that transparency comes at the cost of
liquidity as if the liquidity is going to be DRASTICALLY affected by a
few small reporting additions, this is an obvious deflection made by
many of those who may have been doing their own dangerous and
potentially illegal business practices and utilizing the grey areas of
the market to hide their wrongdoings. With that said I am in FULL
SUPPORT of this proposed rule because as an individual investor I
would like transparency in the markets I utilize to grow and manage my
investments within. Thank you for your time.
