November 1, 2022 In what conceivable world, or \"fair\" market, is it that a lack of transparency benefits retail. Information is power, and allowing financial institutions to obfuscate their dealings behind curtains or \"self-reporting\" (because people who break the law always turn themselves in...?) is simply allowing them to steal from everyone. Especially when they know the \"fine\" is nothing more than the \"cost of doing business\" because they won't lose even a full percentage point of what they've fleeced from the general population. Market transparency, IN ALL AREAS AND BY ALL PARTICIPANTS, is the only way to fair markets Please, for the love of this nation... and dare I say the solvency of THE ENTIRE WORLD ECONOMY... put in place Rules to provide that transparency (AND ACTUALLY ENFORCE THEM)... and maybe take EVERYTHING they stole and THEN fine them. Please? It even feels sorta ridiculous to have to ask that of the agency that is supposed to regulate those looking to take advantage of... the very rules you've implemented. They must not think much of the SEC. One would think that would be galling.
