October 29, 2022 I am a retail investor and after several years involved in the market it is insane to me that there isn't more transparency. Would it be bad to have data on what firms like Archegos are doing that may be illegal? Absolutely not. The comments in favor of keeping data opaque are coming from the firms that NEED to keep the data opaque. I'm sure they are worded with pretty legal language. They pay people to comment on these. Don't let the data continue to obfuscate your ability to uphold the law and prevent more instances like Archegos from happening. We need transparency.
