November 1, 2022 Retail Investors will be best served by having more transparency instead of the opacity currently facing us. Instead of having black swan events that will creep upon us , having transparency will allow anyone to crowdsource into the public sphere and give smart people a chance to say something before it all blows up. The SEC seems to be prioritizing hedge fund comfort and profiteering over investor protection and market transparency. While short sellers might be afraid of short squeezes that can follow the identification of their short selling strategy, that is not a reason for the Commission to decide against greater transparency. I feel that the cost and effort are justified to prevent fraud , prevent hiding in loopholes and give me a better piece of mind when thinking about investing in America markets if it were transparent. Sincerely, Loh Hao Yi
