These rules changes should include, massive fines or jail time for those who commit these rule violations. Far too many times, the perpetrators who violate these rules are willing to continuously pay the fines, which is only a fraction of what they’ve profited from. There has to be a deterrent put in place to sway them, otherwise, they will continue to violate the rules. If a driver is cited multiple times for DUI, they are usually sentenced to jail time. If a person is in contempt of child support payment, they will get jail time. If a person is found guilty of murder, they get jail time. If a bank robbery is convicted of robbing a bank, they get jail time. So why is it that the violator of the SEC rules gets the opportunity to continue to pay fines, with no possibility of jail time?
