Since I was a child the idea of free markets to generate wealth for the middle class was exciting and the epitome of the American dream. Living through the 2008 crash and all the public information released afterward showed a disastrous lack of transparency in our markets and the perils it can lead to. Any greater level of transparency is healthier for our markets and is a necessity to regain faith in these markets.
