I am a retail investor and I am in favor of this rule.
For too long the people who break the rules in the stock market have gone unpunished. I'm talking real punishment, not a 10 million dollar fine to a company worth 7 trillion.
That's like fining a millionaire $1 for robbing a bank. You know what bank robbers and anyone associated with them and their crime get? Jail time Unless the fine affects them as drastically as someone working one minimum wage job getting a DUI its not even close to enough of a deterrent. I want these rules, I want rules enforced, I want substantial punishment.
