I am writing you as a concerned retail investor. Over the last year I have been focused on increasing my understanding of market mechanics. Many things I learned have come as a shock to me. I had no idea these things happen and it is highly concerning from a middle class, I save for retirement point of view. Im not a millionaire. I work in a kitchen and I work hard for my money. I invest this money in the only way I know how to plan for my retirement. You must help the little guys get what is owed to them. A few of my investments are clearly manipulated by hedge funds. Mainly I am speaking about GameStop and the obvious manipulation that has occurred each and every day. GG, the buy button was turned off and no one was punished. Let me repeat that the buy button was TURNED OFF How can we as middle class retail investors trust the only system we have to invest for our future. Its so disheartening that the billionaires get to manipulate everything so they win time and time again and retail is left holding the bag. Please help us get our fair share. We invested in a stock we liked, the buy button gets shut off, the stock is still shorted over 200% and yet the Hedgies control the price through naked shorting and rehypothication of shares. We have now had to resort to Direct Registration of our shares to prove to the SEC that naked shorting is occurring. We all know that naked shorting occurs everyday but yet there is no repercussion for the abusers. Its just not fair and we are seeing through the fog. These market mechanics are confusing and hard to grasp for the average retail investor. If all investors understood what happens to their money they would be mortified to know that the billionaire hedge funds skim off the top and we dont actually see the full potential of our investments.
PFOF should be banned. Why are we the only market that allows this? The only people who benefit are again the Hedgies. The game feels rigged GG.
Sears went up 5000% last week how is this possible? Hedgies cellar box Sears and never close their shorts just to use it as liquidity. its rigged GG.
The playing field must be made more even for all players. I know hedge funds will always have the upper hand. But their greed and manipulation is so obviously clear to more and more people. We are losing faith GG.
Im glad the SEC is investigating short sellers. This needed to happen. Its great we have rules and regulations but they are worthless if not enforced. Thanks for your time.
