I support these rules and hope to see them implemented as quickly as possible. Many of us in the public are very concerned about the potential harm that years of unpunished illegal, opaque, and unethical activities and resulting crashes could have on the worlds economies.
The public perception of the SEC is very damaged at this point.
To repair public trust, we must see harsher penalties, crippling fines, and unavoidable jail time. We want to see the SEC become faster and more flexible. Year after year we see bad actors break the rules with impunity and then expect to be bailed out. These rules will have no teeth if we cant put more pressure on the DOJ and other enforcement agencies to act faster.
