I'm compelled to comment on this because as an investor who has spent the past few years watching markets, it has been frustrating and discouraging to see our supposed \"free market\" manipulated in the interest of a few large players and away from retail investors. I toil day in and day out to scrounge enough money to invest to hopefully have a bit of money saved when I retire.
So, after researching and seeing the markets being manipulated to keep the money in the pockets of a few and out of the pockets of the many, it discourages me from putting my money into the markets knowing that there are bad players working to make sure the markets don't run fairly.
If America wants average Americans to invest in our markets and help our economy a fair and balanced market is the bare minimum that is required.
For this reason, I would like to see these rules put into action and enforced. Any person or parties who actively work against a fair and balanced market and against the overall health of our country's economy should see repercussions for those actions.
