I appreciate that the SEC is looking into some of these matters with what feels like greater scrutiny than with prior administrations. It has become evident that there is a great deal of corruption and/or overt manipulation not just with specific securities but with large swaths of the market as a whole. If \"market sentiment\" is meant to convey how the general populace feels about individual securities, then why is it that so many seemingly-unrelated securities move in concert with one another with little to no news about said companies? That alone has shaken investor confidence on a high-level, and if this game is meant to strictly be played between various banks and other high-net-worth entities, then so be it, and perhaps retail investors should take their ball and go play on a different court
