I'm a new investor recently getting involved in the NYSE thanks to an app available in Canada. It really pains me to see such buy/sell ratios every day in certain stocks and the inverse effect if should have on the stock happen throughout the day.
The fact that 80% of trades occur through dark pools is disgusting. Retail is supposed to make up the trading world and we are clearly just being used by others, hedgefunds to be specific, to increase their own wealth while manipulating stocks to cause fear.
Rule changes need to occur to prevent retail investors and the stock market itself from being abused by dark pool abuse and Security-Based Swaps.
How did we learn nothing from 2008.
