The stock market needs more transparency. No one person or entity should have any advantage over the other. Retail investors have been disadvantaged for many, many years because of the ability of the hedge funds, market makers, etc being able to skirt around the rules. It is time for the playing field to be leveled, so that all may enjoy a free and fair market. Along those lines, anyone caught not playing by the rules needs to be fined heavily. Currently, fines are just a 'slap on the wrist'. A fine should be higher than the profit brought in by doing the illegal act to begin with.
We as retail investors have no trust in these markets, nor the regulatory agencies that are supposed to be monitoring them. It's time for all of you to step up and do better.
