As a foreign investor, there needs to be more regulation and scrutiny in the market to give investors a sense of security. At this point in time Im only comfortable with a small portion of my portfolio traded on the US Lit exchanges. With the news of upwards of 90% of retail orders going to dark/off exchange and the prevalence PFOF, I am extremely concerned about fraudulent price discovery. Until there are rules in place to prevent this and they are enforced in a timely manner my confidence in the US stock market will stay low.
