As a retail investor I am greatly in favor of accountability from institutions and hedge funds. Swaps were a major issue in the 2008 crash. It appears these actors simply changed targets from the housing market to companies. Greater transparency and punishments which are more than simply, \"the cost of doing business\" are vital for our democracy to survive.
