As a retail investor, I feel the need to express my support of this proposed rule change as it directly affects my interests and companies in which I am invested.
While I may not be an industry expert, it does not take much professional or traditional education to understand the manipulative actions undertaken in the securities-based swaps market. The malfeasance causes undue pressure on underlying equities, to the point at which they are no longer trading based on fundamentals tied to the company itself, but largely under the control of entities who stand to profit off the price swings created by the manipulation across the derivatives on said equities.
How is that a free market? How is that in any way meant to inspire confidence and a sense of security to any level of investor, domestic or international, looking to participate in our US financial system? I implore you to strongly consider passing these rules, for the sake of our economic integrity stands on it being done.
Thank you.
