As a fellow regulator (of the Telecommunications sector), I absolutely understand the need for transparancy.
It is the best tool available for regulators in order to detect possible problems in a market. From data, information is gathered and knowledge can be created. Only then, can a solution be implemented if a problem is detected (ex-ante or ex-post).
I fully support the SEC's proposal to improve transparancy.
