I would like to comment on the importance of holding financial criminals responsible for what happens in the United States \"free market\". Security swaps through manipulation and deception are only part of the problem.
I have submitted a quote from Thomas Jefferson in which he states, \"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.... I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.\"
This is not the America that was envisioned when our country was built. I have lost the trust of our financial markets and ask that the SEC please take seriously the crimes of market manipulation and deception by large financial firms seriously. The large security swaps that we are seeing take place have nearly destroyed our economy on more than one occasion.
