After learning more and more about the deep rooted corruption and manipulation in the US stock market, I have no interest anymore in dealing with US stocks and investing in US companies.

Domestic US politics is reeling under the damage done by the erosion of trust in its institutions. I fear the same erosion will take place internationally if the SEC fails to address the concerns of retail investors in a timely fashion.

The SEC will not get many more chances to present decisive action and transparency to a global community of investors. Whether trust in the US stock market can be rebuilt hinges entirely on the SEC's performance in the next couple of days.
