I am writing to express my support for the proposed Order Competition Rule (File No. S7-31-22, Release No. 34-96495) currently under review by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This rule is a significant step toward fostering a competitive, fair, and transparent trading environment for all market participants. By promoting order competition through the restriction of rebates and fee structures, the rule will contribute to the elimination of conflicts of interest and enhance price discovery. This, in turn, will lead to better execution quality and lower costs for investors, ultimately benefiting the entire financial ecosystem.
