I am a household investor who fully supports this rule and wants this to be put in effect immediately if possible. I strongly dislike the act of my orders not reaching the lit exchange and into the wholesalers. There should be no reason for the current system to have PFOF in its place, not only does it deprive all competition in the market, It also allows certain individuals or firms to control price discovery with the use of ATS. Markets should have competitors not wholesalers. IEX is a perfect example of such a system where both the seller and buyer benefits from the transaction.
