To the SEC, I am an average middle-class married father of two who holds the majority of his life savings in stocks (401k and brokerage). This rule should be passed. It encourages fair and best-price discovery. We need to stop giving bad actors the dark places to steal from the average American citizens who put their hard-earned savings into the market. There is much more to the story, of course, but this is what it comes down to for me - fairness. - Chris
